Creamed Honey

Creamed honey is a style of honey. Creamed honey is many peoples favourite style of honey. It has a thicker texture than liquid honey, making it easier to handle in the kitchen, particularly for spreading. It also has a much longer shelf-life than normal honey, because it doesn’t really crystallize or go hard.

Creamed honey is 100% pure honey. The creamy smooth consistency is obtained through a controlled crystallization process, producing very fine uniform crystals, so fine, that the honey appears smooth and silky. This also prevents the formation of larger crystals. Whitecourt Mountain Creamed Honey is made from 100 % pure raw honey. Even though we call it “creamed”, it does not contain any dairy and has nothing added.

Creamed honey is not whipped honey. Whipping liquid honey is actually very damaging as it introduces oxygen, moisture and potentially pathogenic microbes into the mix.
